The incredible balance that he has to have is just amazing. He is truly one of the most talented dancers. I admire him greatly!

This is great, I love Gene Kelly and never saw roller skate tap dancing. Thanks for posting.

Wow..how the..It's just ridiculous the talent here, I mean dang, now I just want to take tap class even more..haha..I wish people that were this cool these days actually got recognized more often. I get tired of a lot of the crap they pass as talent these days. I'll probably watch this 5,000 times now..haha

Best actor that ever lived. No two ways about.
Although, closely followed by Donald O'Connor.

Purely amazing! I love Gene! I was floored the whole time watching it. I miss these movies. You can't watch a movie now without being flooded with language the first min. I enjoy watching a movie that actually has some back to it.

Aw, too bad you're in England. Turner Classic Movies is showing it in January and February. I watch this almost every morning before I go to work: a great way to start the day!

According to his daughter on the Anatomy of a Dancer documentary, these were his own personal skates, bought at a hardware store so he could skate with his family at the neighbors' house. |
