The thing I love about Janis is how she was able to trancend the gender barrier with performing and singing. Guys could get as much from her as women could and relate to the emotion she put forth. There are times when I've gotta put on Janis because a male singer just dosen't touch that extra push of emotional expression I need at that moment! Even as a guy, you can totally feel what Janis was trying to get through to you.

Yes, StarWarsMedia, she did the "bad" drugs. She died from a herion overdose. So sad 'cause she was just getting her act together, she was happy with her new backup band, but then came the high school reunion and all the hurt that haunted her all her life and it took her.
