If you're interested, there's a movie called Love Jihad that documents the gay struggle in the middle east. It's a very interesting indie movie... and was made with great risk.

i know... i feel so powerless everytime i read or hear about those statements. Im a straight woman but im constantly defending the rights of gay people. It's a constant battle at my house!

Watching these videos, I just think about gay people in some Middle-Eastern and Asian countries. They are even stoned to death! It seems nobody cares about it either!
I still remember very clearly, at a conference in NY, the Iranian president (what his name?) proudly proclaimed that his country didn't have "homosexual phenomenon". Well, I think they kill all of gay people there, so he could make that kind of statement.
