and by the way i am trained in karate(shito-ryu), some tkd, muay thai, some wing chun, and currently training in jeet kune do..
im telling this as u'd doubt that MT is my STYLE, n im boasting it to be best..but its nt that..im trained both in karate and MT,n have adequate knowledge of both. n have equal respect for both, as well as for practitioners of both styles..
regards

bt i really respect ur knowledge about ancient karate...my point is what do u know abt the birth and development of muay boran or muay thai? may be u know, bt let me tell u,
muay boran was also dev. on battlefield(like karate) and was made to kill opponent in a single blow..in fact its creator knocked out top 10 burmese fighter in a row and all with single blows.
i might be wrong, bt probably u r a karateka too. but u'll agree that to compare two styles u sud hav equal knowledge of both..

as far as history is concerned, i know karate developed in okinawa islands during trade with China. and when okinawa was attacked by samurais of japan, karate was banned by them. when samurai period ended okinawans adopted japanese language to mix with japan. then karate was introduced to japan. the karate gi was adopted from japanese judo which was developed from jiu-jitsu used by samurais..and theres much more.. |
