they had 3 at the beginning of the war and they used 1 of them to test with.The other 2 they used on Japan.They Bluffed about dropping another one b/c they had no more and the reason they dropped them on the Japanese is b/c they would have taken to many soldier losses for an all out war.remember they were fighting from both sides and u people are idiots if u think that the US had plenty of A-Bombs,Back then it was not easy to make them and at the same time it took major money to keep an arsenal

They only had two by the 11th of August but planned to have at least another one by the end of August and three more in September. So, yes you are correct and Camaro is wrong. However, I agree that the U.S. was in the right by dropping the bombs because the Japanese would not have surrendered without being absolutely sure of their total annihilation. Look up "Operation Downfall" it was the planned invasion of Japan. It would have killed far more people than the 500,000 killed by the Nukes.

And the only reason we did that to the Japanese is because we couldn't take a chance for them to discover any of our advances in technology. Where do you get the US only had two A-bombs? They threatned Japan to continue dropping bombs on them until they surendered. At least, that was my understanding.

japanese killed 10,000,000 chinese civilians just because they were communists, they also tortured them just like the 100,000 plus uk usa and australian soldiers they captured. the japanese war crimes were as bad as the nazi war crimes, usa dropping 2 nuclear weapons was the minimum usa could have done. i would have ordered they dropped 10 bombs. hirohito was never tried for his war crimes.
