Also I vaguely remember it being a big thing that they advertised that you could jump backwards in Super Mario Brothers with the Power Glove.
Again, it was largley pointless.

From what I remember, to do a longer press of a button, you had to do the motion in a longer amount of time. Like, how he was continuiously moving his arm up and down, he should have moved his hand and the glove in one motion. Once you move it up, you'll go up, once you begin to move your hand down, you'll stop the jumping. Sorta imagine it like you are trying to move Samus by grabbing her with your hand and having her go wherever.
And if that doesn't makes sense, you'd be right.

He's right, the player has to jump over to get the roll upgrade on the left side. The power glove apparently functions only a tap of the button and that's a problem because the button has to be held down longer for a higher jump. If anyone thinks that's the highest Samus can jump as shown in the video needs to play the game again. :\
