not that big??? dude... it has a larger land area than New York or Toronto, one of the largest cities in the world! (land wise of course) Funny to think it still seems so crowded despite having all that space and only 1 million ppl.

WHOA hold up there.... I strongly dissagree with your outlook here. Yes Calgary has become a fairly costly place to live, but we are still no where nere as bad as most other cities. Are taxes are amogsnt the cheapest in Canada, still the best place to buy large ticket items, and although gas prices may be pricey our city still provides numerous opportunities for well paying careers. Not to mention boasting a 45 min drive to Banff!! Also... ALBERTA IS THE ONLY DEBT-FREE PROVINCE!

grocery coupons?? u mean like the welfare system we have here in usa? all dis time i thought u canadians were well off...boy was i wrong..it appears we r all struggling =( why do they tax u guys so much! r u getting any benefits from it? another thing....wats the verdict on dat bill c51 that would supposedly stop people from using herbal supplements?

Well, we live in a debt society... we borrow money and live on monthly installments, loans, and grocery coupons!! Pretty sad!! Toronto would be worse, because they also have a provincial sales tax as well!! Us here in Calgary live on mortages, and borrowed money and credit cards!! We are sinking deeper and deeper into debt!! Again, very sad!!!
