many people remember CT. Many people have no idea who they are. Thanks to this remix which has been getting a lot of play, many new people (such as myself) have found CT. This mix is great. Sure it could be made a little more trancier, but it is still good.
I know some of you think its an abomination. But just calm down. This takes more than 1 listen. And if you're not convinced then stick to the original. That said, It would love to see another remix of this.

thanks very much for posting - having loved blue bell knoll from a distance for years, this is plenty 'respectful' (whatever the fk that means in art) and introduces me to dirtyhertz, who clearly has a great ear, making some beautiful layers in this mix that takes you off somewhere ur happy to go

damn, you're receiving a lot of hate for this one, my man. i've been a fan of CT the very instant i heard them and so i feel compelled to give you an honest opinion (go figure) about this remix. i think it's obvious that any fan would prefer the original over this mix but it really ain't that bad. just know that when you play with the work of the cocteau twins, you play with something many fans consider nothing less than sacred. if it means anything, i still respect your sound, though.

thank you! i agree. i've been into cocteau twins for years, and i like this. people seem as though they feel threatened by this-- well the original track is still on the album where it always was, and it's not going anywhere. don't be afraid everyone. you are still free to love the cocteaus just as much as ever.

I think you're being a little extreme in your point. You may not like it but if you found yourself dancing in a dark club and all of a sudden Liz was singing how could you not help but be happy?
Relax :P

Just a view from the other side, I had never heard much of the CT but I have been a huge DirtyHertz fan for years. This remix has introduced me to the CT and now I really like their music. If you ever get to San Fran or Burning Man track down Dirty. He is the best trance/progressive DJ I have heard and one hell of a cool cat who cares about his music! |
