Real nice blues - Kevin and Branford each take a chorus. As a commenter noted, that IS the late pianist Kenny Kirkland "Doctone" taking a solo as well. I wasn't sure as they don't show his face, but I checked other vids of him here on youtube and noticed the wide silver pinky ring on his right hand.

DocTone is also a play on the words 'Dark Tones'. Listen to enough Kenny Kirkland and you'll see why.

I have a live recording where Wynton says, "We call him The Doctor because he can play all the instruments up here." That's from 1984 - I'm not sure when it became Doctone.

Doctone was Kenny Kirkland's nickname. I imagine it stands for "Doctor Tone". I'm not sure the entire history on when and how he got the nickname.
