First time I hear this version. This woman is incredible. I've become a Sara McClachlan fan. What a beautiful voice and definately a tribute to the original artist.Someone here doesn't care for the yodeling style, but that's what makes her different. Merry Christamas to everyone.

Why is it that people heed to argue about who does a better version? It is NOT a competition. Plus, if only the original artists should perform it, that's like saying no one should perform any of Shakespeare's plays after Shakespeare death. What nonsense! Personally I think the more performances there is, the more Shakespeare lives on. As the more people sing this song, the more it is a complements John Lennon. Just my thought...

i agree.cant actually feel the emotion that makes you glad yet sad.her yodeling style is quite annoying cos she do it too much.

i think ppl shouldnt say who does the better version *unless it is horrible* after all it is a good song and the message remains the same. i think both Sarah's and John's versions are good in their own respect and should not be compared to one another.... but thats just me |
