Urm its in a language called Sranan Tonga... island creole originating in an original ghanaian language but mixed with spanish, dutch and portuguese. The song is originally from a Surinamese african group called ai sa si by sister agnes... But you have to admit... most people wouldnt have known about it if it werent for Alison Hinds :)

ma parents from da islands as well. the reason i say it african bcos my fren understand it and he's prt nigerian and on the internet it even sed the song come from africa. but if u say its a guyanese ting den u keep thinking that. but i disagree.
