He is right. Jennifer's lower voice is not even that strong. Jennifer's "vocal weight" is in her middle and upper voice meaning the higher she goes, the more comfortable she is. Our girl(Bey) is a 2nd soprano though can belt herself, is more comfortable than Jen in lower voice. Nothing wrong with that because when it comes to using their voice, Bey is better anyways.

They both are mezzos but Bey is more comfortable in lower voice than Jen. However, if we compare Bey to TRUE ALTOS she is not as comfortable below G3 as they are. So Bey is still a Middle Soprano but Jen belts higher, absolutely. Bey has contralto potential though(like in her late 30s early 40s).

You're right. Even though Head is full voice too(because it is connected voice and all connected voice is full voice) but yes, Jen is more of a soprano than Bey. The only reason why some feel Jen is an alto is her dark voice, meaning it is darker and heavier than Bey's. Jen=More Dramatic Voice, Bey=More colorful voice.

u cant compare be and jen be can do all jen songs and make way bettter then jen ,jen doesnt have the cotroll like be yes she has the voice but all her voice is is deep if u realy look at be voice can go jus as loud jus as loud be has more controll in any song she sangs jen doesnt be alot of songs r u fast and eveything for jen but beyonce nooo theres comparing them too they both great but

Jennifer Hudson is really amazing and i agree with what your saying about her being better than Beyonce. But we cant slate Beyonce as she is also amazing, just not as amazing as Jennifer (:

*Lesson time* 1st do u even understand the facets and registers of the voice-odviously not. When attempting to classify, one always go by the vocalists tessitura, or texture. Jen's tessitura is actually higher than Be's, meaning she belts at a much highrer frequency more consistenlt than Beyonce. You're mistaking her power for a lower tone, when in fact she's consistenlty at mid-to high sporano pitch. Jen's pitch alot higher, because she belts in full voice voice, less in head/falsetto like B.
