I said for you guys to keep it civil, and you didn't - so I'm disallowing comments. Want someone to thank for this, thank goe5!

This is a heartbreaking story. I couldn't hold my tears when I watched this video and I believe everyone who cherishes their loved ones would feel the same. As Chinese, I know that Japan did terrible terrible things to Asian countries and they have not completely admitted and confessed their crimes. But what we should always remember is history not hates, and no one deserves tragedy like this. Really hope Megumi's family can find her! Her parents waited their hair grey.

The Japanese atrocities are so massive that even the 250,000 people who died from the abombs are grossly overshadowed in sheer number of people dead not to mention the fact that the Japanese were the aggressors driven by racist, religious ideology akin to the Nazis. You need to own up to the millions killed, tortured and abducted if you want lesser atrocities to be recognized and condemned.

I will ignore your hatred of the Japanese to point something out. You seem just as blind to Asian history as you claim others are. The Japanese did suffer for their colonialist policies -- at Hiroshima and Nagasaki and in the Tokyo firebombings -- hundreds of thousands died...most of them innocent people. All a direct result of WWII and all the horrible things they did. Please don't respond with racism and bigotry to this. Just tell me why you insist Japanese people have never suffered?

From an objective perspective, Japan complaining about the abduction of 13 Japanese is like a thief who has stolen 4.5 million complaining about losing 13 bucks to a pickpocket.

Besides emotional and angry insults from Japanese I've yet to hear a logical and reasonable response to my pointing out of Japanese hypocrisy over NK abductions. If abducting Megumi, let alone 13 people in total, is such a bad and horrible thing, which it is, why does Japan deny, whitewash and undermine Korean complaints about the abduction of 4.5 million Koreans, millions of murders, stealing of natural resources and cultural treasures, etc.?

To the individual (that'll remain nameless) who replied to the comment from Melonbarmonster. Insulting someone in the same comment/s while putting your views across reflects badly on you. So I removed your comments. Melon was in no way doing half of what you accused them of, they just see things from another perspective - that of Korea's, and they did it without being unpleasant hence why I allowed it. It is their opinion, and it is welcomed as long as it is kept civil - keep that mind.

this is sad but it's a little hilarious from a Korean perspective since Japan abducted 4.5 million Koreans and forced them into slave labor including sexual slavery. Japan getting worked up over a few abductions when Japan committed far greater atrocities which they still haven't fully owned upto makes Japanese hysterics over Megumi a bit ridiculous. Mind you that Japan is the ONLY country in the world that allowed trade, tourism with NK which would have been unimaginable for US and SK.

I really hope that they find her before its to late or find the truth.

It doesn't have a happy ending at all. But Megumi Yokota is still alive, just never gets found. There government tried to send the famly fake ashes, saying they were Megumi's. But DNA tests were done proving they were not. Soon after that the credits roll, and not much els happens. I think she's still alive just not found. Very sad :(..
