While all the tenors mentioned in this video's comments are masters in their own right, and it can't be said they would not know their way around their instrument perfectly(that is to say, their voice), personally for me this one is the créme de la créme so to speak. That timbre, tone and downright lung power is incredible, it's like mr. Björling was from another time or space.
Amazing, pure goodness. As far as Nessun Dorma is concerned, I think this is the best one.

Is there some good reason why you can't have a difference of opinion about voice quality, without being derogative? If it's because you're only 19, maybe you ought to grow up, before posting anything else.

No need to pay out the competition :P. I do agree Pavarotti is much better, although this guy can hold is high notes very well :P.

Sicherlich ist Pavarotti nicht schlecht als Darsteller für eine Art von Pop-Klassik, die man gut zu Weihnachten im Fernsehen zeigen kann, aber eine wirklich gute Stimme braucht viel mehr Nuancen. Pavarotti singt wie die gleißende Sonne über einem Marktplatz: ohne Schatten, in gewisser Weise langweilig.
Jussi Björling ist dagegen einer der besten Sänger, die es je gegeben hat.
