Actually "reverse" running is to facilitate coal loading, not to mention crew comfort and visibility. Switchers spent about equal time running in either direction.

Was this engine designed to be cab first or is it just running in reverse??

I doubt a cell phone ringtone could be heard over that engine.

lol no its actually the rails squeaking. It could be a ringtone though, its annoying enough to qualify:P

At 00:48 is that your cell phone ringing? :]
spencermcgrew (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
for better visibility, and because it runs better in reverse.

Why is the little (yet POWERFUL) engine running cab first?
