Titus Films www.titusfilms.com Sometimes Hollywood just doesn't cut it when it comes to trailers. Steven Soderbergh's "Solaris," along with Tarkovsky's original, are personal favorites. The trailers that surrounded the film's release either played up the love story or the anomaly of an all-liquid planet. I didn't think either did the film justice, so I re-cut my own in lieu of being a bit more true to the science-fiction aspect, along with the suspense and mystery of the plot. Disclaimer: This re-cut is in no way affiliated with 20th Century Fox and is simply a display of editing work possible by Titus Films.

You won't understand this film if you didn't read the book. But I will try to explain it for you: Solaris is the planet where a human base is setted.People there are taking examination of strange ocean which seems to live and think. The ocean is powerful and has the power of creating things...

To understand Lem you need to look further than just present. You need to think like Lem find a second bottom. You should he was telling about the world order and the world and humanity. Its a very interesting story.Even if you are interested with aliens.

as we know everybody has some secrets. sometimes it's any blame, sometimes a tragic story, sometimes any deviation.this organism is very radical. he just materialises human secrets. why? we don't know!!that's why one crewman committed suicide and the rest of them isolated from each other. what happens to kelvin?? we know.his girlfriend committed suicide and he feels guilty of that. that's why solaris created her. and that's it

to tell da truth LEM didn't believe in aliens. but he wrote this book to show us that even if there are any aliens maybe there is not so easy to make contact with them. so, he showed us solaris as one condensed organism. science institutes have lots of informations about this living THING but to tell the truth they know nothing about it. this organism thinks but this is absolutely inhuman way of thinking.

ok, I'll try to explain you, why there is so big difference betwen this book and this movie. this movie shows us relationship between man and woman in cosmic space and nothing fckin else. but this book is not fckin drama. do you know why this movie is so irritating?? bcoz this is not adaptation!!
