I'm guessing he knew what that retainer was there for, I mean it's pretty obvious. Some poeple don't like to use it. I usually don't use it because you can do cool steel guitar type bends behind the nut without it.

It's worth more, but that's irrelevant. It's an instrument, it shouldn't be put in a box...I just hope her husband has started playing it :)

$35k for that is a mega under estimate! That would go for at least double! Although - when was this aired, values of this stuff have all gone up due to demand so it could have been pretty accurate for the time?
