That is so incredibly sad. When you think of the enormous time and energy that folks like Bud and others put into researching these incidences/stories, it's just shame that people like Jim come along to use their precious time and energy. Where did you hear about it being a hoax?

Unfortunately, Budd is speaking about a notorious hoaxer, Jim Mortellaro. He lied about his entire experience and even called in using electronic voice modulation to pose as a woman doctor. Eventually, the Intruders Foundation posted a disavowal of the entire affair, but not before Jim's story was told with great authority around the country |
