What Shirley has is charisma. She manages to make a scene that would make most people look silly into something that just makes us find her adorable. My commendations to Shirley and Bob Fosse for this performance.

Whoa, I haven't seen this movie in years, but I never really noticed until just now how TERRIBLE the camera work/direction is. At least Fosse showed growth later with Cabaret...

Actually Gwen Verdon is the real Sweet Charity! Shirley is awesome though, still Verdon coached her!

i wonder whats happened to the world. the media hails britney, martine mccutcheon,as taltntss. i cant see it. obvious, i grew up with shiley and barbara.I think that the majority of'' entertainers'' should be ashamed of themselves.

I love the film version of this famous broadway musical! With a director and choreographer like Bob Fosse and an actress, dancer and singer like Shirley MacLaine, the film become a CULT!
