The story seemed to be that the French judge had broken down and admitted it in private, but then denied the story when it became public. Call it how you want it, but that's enough to secondguess the results, what with them being so close. Both teams handled it with grace, and despite popular opinion, there is no evidence saying that Sale and Pelletier launched any kind of complaint. I was happy with both. The only losers here are the people hating either team. Lots of them commented on this.

You mean that a mentally unstable women (this was also suppored by evidence as was known even before SLC) came with these accusations and then later went back on them. Who can trust someone like that. Why isnt her story she was pressured from both sides believeable, are people so naive to believe the Western countries dont get involved in that sort of thing themselves. If people do believe that then truly very naive they are.

Regardless of who was "better" the fact of the matter is that the Russians and French clearly traded votes. There is a lot of evidence to support that.

Actually, this program was NOT more difficult. The commentators even said B&S had a technically more difficult program. S&P can't compare to the Russians. They don't have the speed, artistry, lines, or beautiful transitions that the Russian pairs do. Sorry. Just because you skate cleanly, doesn't mean you should win. Look at Nancy Kerrigan in 1994. She was cleaner, but didn't have nearly the artistry of Oksana. B&S should have won the only gold. S&P were not very good sports either.

The most, fascinating, difficult, awesom pairs free program av ever seen, just amazing. They should av won gold hands down, was a travesty!

Simply elegant. I didn't actually watch this program the night it happened. I went to work the next day, and people were very upset, that Jamie and David didn't win. I watched it later, and still can't believe they had to share the Gold Medal with the Russians. This program was way more difficult, and way more beautiful than the Russians.
