Pretty good list, and of course Viva Mr. Leone, but left out a few little movies called "The Searchers", "Stagecoach", "My Darlin' Clementine"...hell, a John Ford B&W scene of all the men crunched up together in the hallway outside the Holy bedroom where the "Lady" is giving birth, in "Stagecoach" saying nothing-saying everything.

You is right.. initially they had to interpret them Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach and Eastwood, but while the two accepted gladly, Eastwoods refused...

I don't want to spoil the plot for what has to be one of the top ten westerns (my favorite) of all time. But, these guys don't deserve any honor. They work for a guy who kills women and children without blinking an eye. What Frank did to Harmonica, deserves no honor. Besides, Harmonica showed Frank some respect. When Frank's Men are paid to betray and kill him, Harmonica saves his life, so he face Frank himself, man to man, in a final duel to the death. What a great movie!
