i guess he mentions Rand for Objectivist Philosophy, since he's all about seeking knowledge, Objectivist thinking is another way of looking at the world and interacting with the world. its pretty existential but you can reduce the ethics of her philosophy to this one line sorta: To live, man must hold three things as the supreme and ruling values of his life: Reason, Purpose, Self-esteem" Saul Williams. Word up.
