HAMMER ON you didn't say anything about pull offs, no shit you can hammer on cleanly but there will always be unwanted overtones without something dampening the other strings, I never said anything about the hair band or w/e it he has to dampen the strings, but its useful having the hair band there, what's the point of making something harder for yourself?

You obviously have no clue what your talking about. With the right technique you can easily hammer on notes without ringing open strings. Not to mention that he clearly has something wrapped around the neck near the 2nd fret to deaden the strings. (its not a capo)
