they contradict them self's though, listen to that hip hop is dead album, HOPE, i believe is track number 16, he CLEARLY SAYS WE KILLED HIP HOP but the looped voice says hip hop will never die, and through the whole album he says hip hop will never die, and in interviews hes always saying hip hop is dead. hes surly a contradiction and only made that topic to sale records, hes a smart man

It's more complicated then that though.
Immortal Technique is underground, chances of someone underground going on the track of someone mainstream is really really slim.

They don't want to pass the Mic up because they too scared to...theres TONS of new MC's that they can pass the Mic to and teach them the rules. Hip Hop is dead because we got vets that are too big headed and don't want to reach out to the shortys that are strugglin to get their shit played.
Hip Hop is dead because no one wants to come together. Fuck the Vets! cocky ass bitches!

You can get TONS of new fans and spot-light if you did a song with a rapper like Nas or KRS1.
Like Nas should had did a song with Papoose and Akir and made that his 1st hit for his new CD...but nope he did a song "Hero" with some chick anyone even going to care about.
IMO Amanda Diva and Jean Grae should had been rapping with Nas on the "Hero" joint. Nas should had put immortal technique on the "Nigger" and "sly fox" joint
They too scared these new MC's are going to out shine them.

This is what I don't get Nas and all them Hip Hop vets say Hip Hop is dead but don't want to do a record with some young and gifted new MC's.
I mean Nas need to do a track with Akir, Tec, Jean Grae, Amanda Diva, Cise Starr, Lupe and K'naan. They all ill and real Hip Hop...but they have no spot-light.
Nas and them rather do tracks with Jay-Z and other vets that made it and bitch together about things they can fix.
