He was always nice and kind to the backstage crew at evey theatre he played to. Not every star was like him, everyone remembers him as a nice person.

"Are You Being Served?" is still as hilarious today as it was 30 years ago. It's funny how, even though the fashions and technology have changed, the humor has never gone out of style. That is the mark of good comedy.

I'm going to be a novelist when I finish college (Major in creative writing) and I have a plan for a trilogy that would take place in the Grace and Favor era. However, there would be a lot of flashbacks that would explain, ultimately, why lucas left. I will of course bring him back. ;) It will be somewhere between comedy and drama.

This would have been just after Grace & Favour (AYBS Again) finished up in early 1993. So John would have been 58 here. Thanks for posting this as I have never seen it. Very interesting.
