mma is only another way of ruining the art in martial art.

Really, tell me what Akido master has entered a MMA event. I ask because I can't think of one that has as it is contrary to their philosophy.

Akido is ment for non martial artist fighters. It is famous amongst police forces. But I have seen several Akido masters get nocked the blank out by MMA fighters. Not to say I dont have the upmost respect for Akido practitioners.

Ok, first and formost, yes this is a good demo of Akido and i respect that, but let me say one thing, unless someone puled out a gun and shot the dude that was 'winning', there was no way he could loose, Akido is so defensive that only guns can really stop it, even weapons such as Katana and Nunchuka can be used against the weilder.

I don't disagre with that. I agree that it is based on Daito Ryu. I shouldn't have used the word originated. I'll attempt to explain better. During WWII, Ueshiba was in China, and according to a couple of his students, they believe he studied Ba Gua while in China. The foot work and energy is amazingly similar. I'm not trying to say this is for sure fact, I appreciate both styles.

People might disagree because its wrong. The core martial art that Aikido is based up is Daitō-ryū aiki-jūjutsu, which Osensei studied directly with Takeda Sokaku. |
