i remember hearing this on the radio back in the day & thinking it was one of the shittiest songs i'd ever heard. i'm a big fan of female artists like Tori & Veruca Salt so sexism isn't a variable in my opinion. listening to this song now only reaffirms my distaste. from her horrid voice to the pretentious lyrics("freebase fun house", seriously?)i'm glad she never got anywhere. & the video TOTALLY goes with the song perfectly. that's all i'll say about that...

Andreone was signed in the wake of Alanis Morisette's success and it's a shame RCA didn't permit her to record a third album after the whole Alanis and Lilith Fair period cooled off. My favorite track on the second album is "Inconceivable." I imagine Bette Midler (!) covering it as a balls-to-the-wall rocker. Great lyric and song, co-written by the gents from The Hooters. I really like her voice in general--it kind of has a "mad kewpie doll" quality to it, and I mean that as a compliment!

I got both of her albums in 2000 when all items at a local record store were being sold out and I was impressed with the high quality of both of these releases. I've always found it a shame that she didn't release anything ever since but apparently she's recently released an EP with unreleased songs, so I'll try to get that one. I can attest to the dire state of the music business, maybe the problem is bigger in the States than over here in Europe but talented musicians are always appreciated.

holy crap... and look at the state of music now! Youtube is the new mtv (among other things!) but as for mainstream i personally don't know of any source of music. its all rap first (mind you- rap that sucks) and then the lesser pop. bleh. AND i don't like my chemical romance and crap like that. :( leah andreone is great. my mom use to listen to her when I was eight or so and I was loved her music.
