Yeah, his second wife, Lani Hall, was pretty stunning (She still is even at her age) - Lani was the main lead singer for Brasil 66, and Alpert's studio (A&M) produced their albums.

This song and others like it were very much a part of the 60s. I don't know why the mass media only focuses on the 1% of Hippies and their psychedelic tunes.

That's Herb's first wife, Sharon Mae Lubin (The video footage is from a 1968 CBS TV special, Beat of the Brass. Ironically, it wasn't too long after this that they divorced.

Maybe the problem is the song was written by Burt Bacharach, and Herb Alpert is getting the credits?
