I am an American and I hate to admit it, but most Americans from my experience are ignorant when it comes to track and field compared to Canadians and Europeans. I blame the american media. Bailey was clearly the world's fastest man. Unfortunately the guys at NBC (who destroyed track and field in Beijing) and CBS wanted to find an american hope in Michael Johnson and it back fired. By the way, Bailey still has the 50m record for those of you who say he doesn't owned any records.

Orvarionda... How silly are? hun?? He IS bullshitting! That's he reason why the WHOLE WORLD hates US. Listen to all the shit the presenter is saying... Bailey put Johnson all behind, and he, with his chicken behavior, "felt" his quadriceps. Do you really think that a high performance athlete, with his quadriceps hurt, would/could fold on his knees to the ground? then he keeps walking PERFECTLY with no help. So THEN comes a lady and helps him... This is so fucking ridiculous.

Ok look.... Michael is NOT bullshitting. He claims that he felt his quadricep tighten up which can be seen at 3:58 Despite of this, he keeps running as you see. And he is already accelerating faster than Bailey, with enough speed to beat him. But since he keeps running, the quadricep starts to trouble him even more and he stops... Stop assuming he faked it...
