sassierogers i do agree with jokanova.
he is right.
never heard of what is a "momentum". this exits in all walks of life and specially in sports.
using the scoreline (4-2) as an argument is not honest unless you have never played any sports or you are a british nationalist.
i dont think that you really believe what you say. you know pretty well what we mean.

Actually I do like football. What I don't like is the modern game with no sportmanship and a bunch of overpaid prima donnas writhing around on the floor hamming it up desperate to be awarded a penalty to win the game by fair means or foul.

well, there is a difference. If some is 3-2 down because of a false goal, it can effect the player's mood and ability to play. I mean, if its 0-0 in the 89th minute, a team is more likely to try then being 13-0 down at 89th minute, will all 13 goals being false...
It DOES matter.

England won 4-2... not 4-3. It doesnt matter about this goal, really, as we would still have won 3-2. Get over it - move on. Just remember Argentina only beat us because of a blatant cheating git... that made the difference to England being in or out - the "not over the line goal" made no difference to the scoreline.

It's not "just a game" you know. You may not like football (and personally i dont take the sport too seriously), but football is in fact
a sort of religion. |
