I saw Diana at Chateau Ste Mischelle , in Woodinville , Wa , it is a winery with an outdoor concert Venue, and Elvis Costello came out for her encore, talk about sensational entertainmet! The show was sold out and I went there on the day of concert and picked up a front row seat for cost from the winery, someone had cancelled and it was the best 75 bucks I ever spent. if you don't know, Elvis Costello is her husband, lucky SOB

That woman lacks emotions in all her music, it's a pop version of a Jazz artist, very overrated, so yes, it's no surprise that you don't feel this song at all.

I agree with ohyea. I have always loved great voices, and among the many singers of our days I know, I believe Krall is among the very best. Even thought many of her greatest songs have not been written by her (although I don't know about Narrow Daylight), she performs with her own style. A good example is the way she performed "Fly Me To The Moon" on the Live in Paris CD. She gave it a melancholy touch and made it sound kind of opposite to the way e.g. Sinatra performed it. More than adorable! |
