Actually, mediocre isn't even the right word for it. More like ranging between lackluster and unfeeling to terrible screeching like a thousand birds deafening the world.

Unfortunately, yes. I wish he didn't. I also noticed that he did one of "Chelsea Hotel" which was of course a disappointment as well. I also hate Concrete Blonde for insulting "Everybody Knows" with a mediocre sounding woman singing.

I think it fits a multitude of circumstances but it seems to capture a common human experience. The feeling that there is much more lying beneath the surface of everything. That all is not exactly what it appears to be on the outside. Also that as a society we often turn a blind eye to the reality of our own nature.
