It's not a laugh track, they taped their shows in front of a live audience (except for some of the skits, which they showed the audience on a screen). I went to the taping of the Monster Mash episode and you can see me in the audience. Janeane Garofalo was there watching too along with that giant woman from 3rd Rock from the Sun.
