The sad thing is probably only about 30 or 40% of you voted in the last election and managed to get the wee naff Alexander who cared so much for Linwood. What did she do? What did labour EVER do for Linwood in ALL those years it had control???NOTHING. You guys need to get a grip and get out and vote. Everyone else has failed maybe time to try SNP they aint doin bad are they? At least their elected representatives need to answer to someone Alex Salmond and the voters. Good Luck Linwood.

Linwood. From the original word Lych Wood. When the Romans failed to invade Scotland in 350AD the residents hung out in trees and 'arched' the invaders. So the Romans Lynched the vast wood. They called it Lynchwood. It didnt work. We saw them out regardless of trees. A proud people, and dangerous. Capable of great things.

Crazy...I'm from Nova Scotia, in Canada and my community, Linwood, is named after this place. Where I live is right by the sea though and beautiful. What happened to this place? We should get a new name.
