Me and five people stood out in front of Kroger protesting the bailout. Channel Four news came out, spoke to us and we were on the news. We never saw one police officer, no-one got hurt and we used the media to our advantage.
Why not organize a 1000 people to form a giant turd? Then the media comes out... ask what you are doing and you get to explain your cause. Why provocate a reaction from the gov. at all? The goal is exposing your cause, not causing violence.

They don't want us to think, they want us to work 50 hours a week and watch American Idol.
The Poeple's Global Action protests the WTO and G-7 and they get beat up, but PGA enjoys the headlines because it brings attention to their cause. Middle America just sees a bunch of "damn kids" starting trouble.
When in fact it is a bunch of kids starting trouble. Because who and the hell knows what they are really protesting?
crow511 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
yeah, true, but you should see what happens to protesters these days. it's almost like the government is trying to set an example of what will happen to you if you stand up against them. it's almost like they don't want us to think or they want us to be controlled. you should go look up "RNC riot" on google or even here on youtube. there are things going on now that are far more profound then rigged elections.

They are going to keep doing whatever they want, as long as we let them stay in power. We keep giving them power, they aren't stealing it. Stop acting like the victim, there are candidates out there who are listening. However, few people are talking about Ron Paul or Nader. Supporting clown McCain or clown Obama is giving them what they want... but what do you want? Once again its between a douche and a turd.
fivestarmichael (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The real protest is your vote. Both candidates supported a bailout, while most Americans were against it. Leadership positions should only go to candidates who are listening.
Politics is consumer driven. You can change the system if you stop buying what they are selling. If you vote for either clown you are not going to be heard.
They are not stealing anything... we keep giving "it" to them. We are just arguing over which dumb-ass is worse. We need to support a 3rd party.
crow511 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
nice, you proved yourself wrong in your own statement. anyways, the only reason activists can't change anything because all the people they protest against do these three things: deny it, ignore it, then exploit it. it's all because the "victims" of these completely nonviolent protests are in the wrong and they know that. so, if you could imagine, they try to save their ass by exploiting the protesters. by the way, we never gave our money to big brother, they literally stole it(economic bailout)
fivestarmichael (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
It wasn't stolen... you gave it to them. You are against the war, but what have you really done to stop it? Are you just a victim of big government and big corporations? Are you just the little guy who can't do anything?

no, not exactly. these "explosives" you talk about have been bought with money stolen from people from all over the world, especially the American people.

You've always paid people for running companies into the ground. Before the share became penny stock you've had saved your money. |
